# License and attribution

Wingmate is distributed under the MIT license in `LICENSE`.

The source snapshot includes material carrying the notice
**Copyright (c) 2026 Microsoft Corporation**. That notice and its MIT grant are
preserved in the repository and all skill archives. This is attribution, not
Microsoft sponsorship, certification, or a claim that Wingmate is a Microsoft
product.

Portions of the interview cadence, business glossary pattern, and architecture
decision criteria are adapted from
[Matt Pocock's skills](https://github.com/mattpocock/skills), under the MIT license,
Copyright (c) 2026 Matt Pocock. The attribution also ships inside each skill ZIP.

The build tool uses **fflate 0.8.3**, MIT licensed, Copyright (c) 2026 Arjun Barrett.
Its license is reproduced in `licenses/fflate-LICENSE.txt`. fflate is a build/test
dependency, not a downloaded script executed by the journey HTML.

Microsoft, Copilot Cowork, and Copilot Studio are product names belonging to
their respective owners. Wingmate is an independent community project.

These notices are historical attribution only. They do not establish a parent
repository, update subscription, shared release pipeline, or runtime dependency.
